The IBPS SO Exam is scheduled on 30th Jan 2016/31st Jan 2016 and candidates should start its preparation beforehand for gaining an edge over other candidates. Reasoning
This is the first section which the candidates would see in their online test paper. This section mainly deals with the ability of a candidate to solve questions with the help of logic and of course, technique. Problems based on data sufficiency, direction sense, eligibility test, blood relation, puzzle test, etc., is asked from this section. To put in a nut-shell the syllabus for Reasoning is:

Quantitative Aptitude

NOTE: This section is applicable for candidates who are have for the post of IT Officer/ Marketing Officer/ HR Officer/ Agricultural Officer.
General Awareness
The General Awareness section tests the knowledge of the candidate in respect of Banking Awareness as well as Indian Economy. This section can serve as a major hindrance of candidates who are not updated with the latest developments. There is no such syllabus for this section. However, the following areas are crucial:

When it comes to Professional Knowledge, you need to retouch what you already know and hence, this will be the easiest section. All that a candidate has to do is go through what he has already learnt over the years.
