It should be noticed that candidates who have applied for the post of Marketing Officer/ HR Officer/ IT Officer/ Agricultural Field Officer need to prepare for Quantitative Aptitude instead of General Awareness. The section of Professional Knowledge Test is common for all, but each post will have questions relating to the similar field.

For an example, if a candidate has applied for the post of Law Officer, then his Professional Knowledge Test will have questions relating to Law and Order. Similarly, for all other fields, Professional Knowledge Test will test the knowledge of the candidates in their respective fields.

Will IBPS SO Exam 2016 have negative marking?

One factor that every candidate must know is the presence of negative marking in exam. The IBPS SO Exam 2016 will deduct 0.25 for every wrong answer that a candidate gives. This means that the candidates will have to mark their answers with precision, else it can result in a terrible loss of score.

There are certain things which every candidate should be well aware of. Here are some of the key points to note:

  1. The IBPS SO Exam is a competitive exam and hence, the scores obtained would be computed on a percentile basis.
  2. The exam will be followed by an Interview round. Score in the exam and performance in the interview would have a ratio of 80 : 20 while computing the final score of the candidate.
  3. There would be sectional cutoffs for each section. Candidates would be required to score a minimum score in every section to qualify for the next round.
  4. The information which a candidate has given during the registration period would be verified before a candidate is allotted with a job.
  5. The IBPS SO Exam 2016 will be held in Februrary 2016 and Call Letter would be available in the first week of February 2016.
