Appearing for IBPS PO Exam 2016 requires every candidate to get himself registered with the IBPS authority through an online application procedure. Only those candidates who have got themselves registered are eligible to sit for this exam. Here is a complete info on how a candidate can get himself registered for IBPS PO Exam 2016-

  • The first things that you need to do is go to the respective website, which at the moment is- ibps.in
  • On visiting the website, you will find that the left hand side bar has a variety of options in which the option for IBPS PO is also present. Click on that option.
  • After clicking on that option, you will be taken to a page where several links will be present. You are required to check the options and select the one which says ‘Apply Online’
  • A click on that link will take you to another page where on the top right hand side you will find a yellow tab which says “Click here for New Registration”. Click it!
  • A pop up will continue with some information, simply click on ‘Continue’.
  • As soon as you click on Continue tab, you will be redirected to a page where you can fill up your information and register for IBPS PO Exam 2016. However, this is not the end of the story!

5 Phase to Fill IBPS PO Application Form

IBPS has maintained a 5 phase registration procedure where candidates are required to fill up an exhaustive form. Information which has been entered in the form will be used by IBPS to contact you in future. You should be hand with- a recent photograph of yours’ (scanned), your signature (scanned), your mark sheets and ID proof. Now let’s get started!

Phase 1

The first phase will require you to fill up your basic information such as name, mobile number, alternate mobile number and email address given in online application form. Once you are done with these, click on ‘Save & Next’ button.

Phase 2

The second phase required you to upload your scanned recent passport sized color photograph and your scanned signature. When you come to the second page, look at the left hand side of the page. There will be two options to upload. One will be for your photograph and another will be for your signature. The size of both should be atleast 200 x 200 pixels. However, file size for both be in between 10 to 20 kb. Once you have uploaded the same successfully, click on ‘Next’.

Phase 3

The third phase will require you to fill up exhaustive details which includes your address, your score in Graduation , your current occupation, work experience, etc. Once you have filled those, move on to the next section. If you belong from SC/ ST, OBC or any other category which has been given age relaxation, you will be required to mention the details here.

Phase 4

This section is known as Preview. All the information that you have filled is shown to you and in case you want to make any changes, you can go back and do the same. It should be noted that you won’t be able to make any changes in the record after this. Click on ‘Next’ to make payment.

Phase 5

This is the last phase where you need to pay the fee. You applicable fee will be displayed to you and you can either pay online through Net Banking, Debit Card or Credit Card. In case, you wish to make physical payment, you would be required to generate a challan and make payment in the respective bank.

Once your registration is successful, your given email address and mobile number will receive a message from IBPS indicating the success of your registration process. However, do not forget to check out the eligibility criteria for IBPS PO 2016 Exam before filling up the registration form.
