Chennaiyan FC Crowned as the new ISL Champions
Chennaiyan FC defeated Goa FC with a score of 3-2 takeover the title of Champions in the Indian Super League Football Champions. The match took place in the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Goa and the hosts were beaten in a nail biting finish. Until 87 th minute, the hosts were leading by 2-1 when a own goal by goalkeeper, Laxmikant Kattimani made the equalizer. Within the next few minutes, Stiven Mendoza made a cunning move to beat the defender and the goalkeeper. The goal sealed the fate of Goa FC and Chennaiyan FC ran away with the Championship.
Oil Export Ban Lifted after 40 years in the US
The US has now lifted one of its oldest ban on oil export. Experts believe that this shift will offer an additional boost to US oil industry, which at the moment is already booming. The decision took place with regard to 1.1 trillion dollars, which would now fund the US Government. This step will now enhance the market of the US and the purview of its export basket will now also include oil for export.
FIFA Club World Cup goes to Barcelona FC for the third time
The match was played in International Stadium Yokoham, Japan where River Plate FC lost to the champions, Barcelona FC, 3 – 0. The first goal was scored in the 36 th minute by Lionel Messi, the second goal was scored in the 49 th minute by Luis Suarez and the final goal of the match was scored in the 68 th minute by Neymar. With this win, Barcelona FC has won the FIFA Club World Cup for the third time, a record which is yet to be broken by any other participating team.
IMF gets reformed by US Senate
The reforms of the IMF (International Monetary Fund) has been ratified by the United States Senate with a view to enhance the representation of developing economies. This propaganda was formed as a part of the budget bill. The developments were in consideration from 2010 Quota Reforms and the same will now put forward in front of the President of the Unites States, Barack Obama. The change is being considered as the biggest after organization (IMF) was setup in 1945 following the end of the World War II. If the proposed changes receive an accent from the US President, the following are likely to happen:
- It would mean that marketing like China, Brazil, Russia and India would make it to the top 10 shareholders of IMF.
- China would gain a percentage in voting rights. The current percentage is 3.8 and it would rise to 6%.
- Poorest members’ quota share will be protected.
- The Executive Directors of the IMF will now be elected on the basis of all member, earlier the executive directors were elected by top-5 quota holding nation.
- The total quotas of all member would increase to 477 billion dollars. Presently, the same is about 238.5 billion US dollars.
