Qualification/Experience and Age Limitation

Candidates should have master degree/post graduate diploma of minimum two year in Geologists/Earth Science/Geological Science/Marine Geology. Age of candidates will be 21 to 32 years as on 1st Aug, 2012 means candidates born earlier than 2nd Aug, 1980 are not eligible.

For the post Junior Hydrgeologists and Assistant Hydrgeologists

Candidates should have master degree in Hydrogeology area from a recognized university. Age of candidates will be 21 to 35 years as on 1st Aug, 2012 means candidates who born earlier than 2nd Aug, 1977 are not eligible.

Mode of Selection for Geologists in UPSC Recruitment 2012

First step for selection will be common written examination. After that, candidates who get highest marks in the written examination will appear for interview of personality test.
