Firstly, we provide some basic knowledge about IBPS because some new candidates don’t know about it. IBPS’s full form is Institute of Banking Personnel Selection. As it appears from its name that its a institute that establish for the purpose of recruit staff in various banks which comes under, nineteen public sector comes under the IBPS. In other words you  say that IBPS works like Public Service Commission of states. But IBPS offer its services only to bank whether its for particular state bank or central banks, for all public sector banks.

IBPS conducts a common written exam(CWE) to recruitment in 19 public sector banks. IBPS PO Exam Pattern

Total marks of test will be 200 divided into  5 subjects like as reasoning, English language, quantitative aptitude, general awareness and Computer Knowledge. The duration for the exam is of 2 hours.

Negative Marks: The penalty of 0.25 marks will be levied, if any wrong answer has been given. The candidates are advised that they must ensure about the correct answer while marking the answer. In other case if candidate does not attempt the question and left black it, no wrong penalty will be applicable.

Minimum Cut Off Marks: The candidates must score a minimum marks or score in each of the paper to apply for the vacancies in participating banks. The minimum cut off marks will be 24 (Gen. Category) and 21 (for reserved category).

Interview: After getting the position in the list of shortlist of the candidates for CWE PO -III, the particular organisation will be called for the interview. The total marks for interview are 100. The marks should not be less than 40% to qualify the interview. The weightage ration of CWE Exam and interview should be 80:20.

Test of English Language

In this, test will be based on student’s capability to understand the English like as vocabulary, comprehension, general usage, grammar, and error detection. Vocabulary means Antonyms/synonyms/completion sentence. Comprehension means theme detection/completion passage/find the conclusion. Grammar means indirect direct speech/active passive voice. Error detection means passage/sentence/spelling correction.

Test of Logical Reasoning

Logical reasoning has two types one is verbal and second one is non-verbal. Verbal reasoning means blood relation/sitting arrangement/judgement/statement/coding decoding/making series and syllogism. Non-verbal means making series/analogy and classification.

Test of Quantitative Aptitude

Quantitative aptitude means play with numbers and calculation like as add/minus/multiple/average/roots/percentage/profit & loss/ratio/time & distance/stock & shares/area. Data interpretation is also one of the parts of quantitative aptitude, in this tabulation/graphs like as bar/line and charts will be asked as questions.

Test of General Awareness

Meaning of general awareness is the ability to be conscious of events and current affairs of India like as sports/constitution/technique/economics/science/politics/culture and banking.

Test of Computer Knowledge

Computer has divided into two parts. One is hardware and other software. Hardware means bodily parts of computer like as monitor/printer/mouse/keyboard/C.P.U and, etc.  Software means application like as Ms office/paint/coral draw and, etc.

Dear sir I sara,requests you to kindly send me the books required for the preparation for the banking exam.I have some books which i had bought for the SSC exams and I have been preparing from them. I cant afford to go for coaching as my parents financial condition is not strong and also cant afford different books.I request you to kindly help me for the study material so that I too can prepare for the exam and get a job , although I am HI I want to make a place for me in the society.

    does reasoning contain nonverbal part?sm people say no non verbal, is that true?
    and how online exam is going to be regarding to work out sm calculation in rough?

    sir in case of this marks obc falls in gen. category 24 mrk or reserved category 21 mrk

    • By “open category” you mean General Cat. ? If so it’s Rs.600

      ” Rs. 100/- for SC/ST/PWD candidates.
      – Rs. 600 /- for all others”

  6. i m doing my b.Tech final year now.. as i dont have a graduation certificate i didnt apply for the exam … i want to know when will be the next Exam of IBPS for POs …
